Polywood® shutters are not only a fully recyclable shutter, but they also contain up to 20% recycled Polywood material. We’re the only shutter company in Cincinnati or even America that does that.

Sunburst supports green design, products, and buildings. We aim for reusing our materials whenever we can. We recycle water used to cool parts when they’re finished in the ovens. We reuse packaging materials. We reuse shutter fragments – or regrind them and turn them into new shutters. Every year we recycle hundreds of tons of materials.

When we package our window treatments to be transported to your residence for installation, we put reusable corner pieces on the edges of louvers and use the least amount of cardboard to package the shutters.

Non-Toxic Paint Finish For Shutters

Our louvered shutters are coated with paints and finishes that are environmentally safe and hypoallergenic. During our manufacturing method, our paints don’t emit fumes. When we claim our paints aren’t toxic, we mean it.
